Default Hi everyone-new LS1 owner

Hello-New to the LS1 world, but not new to F bodies-got a few others in the stable-89TTA and a 89 Formula 350.

Purchased this recently-its a 99 Trans Am, NBM with around 20k miles on the clock. Engine is bone stock, its a very well cared for car. Taupe interior. Came with an extra set of speedlines, so have plans for those next spring. Drove it a few times, runs beautifully. Its now in the garage covered up and the owner is counting down the days till spring! lol

Looking forward to learning all about this car and glad to be here on the forum.

Nice shop!

You have great taste in cars too. The turbo 6 is a legend, and the Formula 350 sounds great, but the LS1 is a higher performance level you are gonna love.

Very impressive, it is always nice to find a car that has no or minimal mods!

Even stock, these cars are really fun to drive!!!

Very nice find bro! That thing looks like it was taken right off the show room floor! Except for the driveshaft... on second thought didn't all 98-02 T/As and SSs come with Aluminum drive shaft???

SS yes, TA no. If it was an auto with 2.73s, it didn't have an aluminum drive shaft IIRC. But since all WS6s and SSs came with 3.23 gears on the Autos, they got the aluminum.

Dont worry-I like stock original. All my cars are unmolested.

Thanks eseibel67. Are you on TGO? Yes, driving the LS1 will be quite different than the turbo or the Formy350.

Nice find! Thanks for posting the photos. The underside shot is interesting. I was under the understanding that the flat color found in the engine bays was sprayed over the entire shell. Your pic shows otherwise.

My Pewter Metallic 'bird doesn't look much different color-wise on the underside as it does in the engine bay, so I never really paid much attention to the other colors.

Havent posted for a while. I have been working on details to get the car the way I want it. Got a Ram Air lower box base and lid with decal(havent put the decal on yet), polished my speedlines and got Firestone Indy Wide Ovals mounted. I am keeping the 16" chrome rims since they came stock on the car. Right now I am in the process of removing globs of silicone on the underside of the Ram Air hood. Someone in the car's past must of had mirrors under there. It is a slow process, and a real PITA. Some of the paint is coming off along with the silicone. So I am going to have to get the underside re painted eventually. Here's a few pictures with the new wheels.
