Default gap between tires and fenders

been looking to buy another trans am, ive noticed some have lota of space between the tires and fenders,

is this normal, heres a few examples

Stock ride height is very high with these cars, for the most part yes its normal although the white car side shots posted seem extra high. A lot of times if the car came right off a lift it takes a day or two for them to settle back down to regular height.

FWIW, my car sits exactly at the same height as that Firehawk and it still has Orange Decarbon shocks on it for all 4 corners.

The white car may have 245 tires instead of 275.

They say 275/40/17 right on the side.
