Default which clutch?! having hard time deciding.

Upgrading my clutch in my 2002 m6 ws6 trans am. Im needing something thats great for everyday driving and not grow Arnold Schwarzenegger leg muscles, clutch thats not going to slip under abuse, last a long time, hold around 600-800 flywheel hp. Car is street fun driven (getting side ways, 1st to 3rd gear banging, burn outs hear and there, back and fourth to work/grocery getter) and sees drag racing on some weekends. Looking at twin disc kits due to drivablity but cant decide which to get. I need someone that knows their stuff to help me. Ive Read some forms but not quite getting the right information, its more like i have this clutch i like it works good....well what works good about it? How long youve had it? Hows it stand to abuse? Feel? Etc...Thanks for any help guys ill be adding the tick performance master cylinder and speed bleed stuff also.

I run a McLeod RST and love it. Feels like stock but grabs hard and with no chatter.

monster lt1-s for under 700. if your over that, step up to the
lt1-sc. factory pedal pressure ( unless your running a tick ),
and holds like nobody's biz.

Had it for 3 years now. I really don't beat on my car much, but I've laid into many times of corse, been to the track, etc...and with close to 700 torque at the tires it works like charm. As far,as everything lining up on install, I had a shop do mine and they had no issues

Sure no problem. If you have the cash a good twin disc is the way to go IMO

So running the tick master cylinder for clutch with the monster ls1-s line of clutches the clutch pedal will be stiffer. I wounder how much stiffer? I could do little stiffer than stock thats not that bad for daily driving cause my stock clutch is soft i think bout 15-20 pounds of pressure gets it down. So 30ish i could handle fairly easy.

tick adds 20% or so extra pressure due to the bigger bore on the
master. the engagement window is ~ 4" total. you can really
shift the **** out of it, really fast. no gear lock out. you do have
to do an initial set up though on it, which isn't bad.

there are a ton of lt1 s clutches in the field, and they get nothing
but rave reviews. it's way under your $2k budget. you could
use the extra cash and get the tick master, along with a speed
bleeder, if you dont already have one, and still be under budget.

Thats a logical way to look at it. It's unfortunate that so many other people don't want to spend more than few hundred on a good clutch setup, especially for cars that are tracked, then end up learning the hard way.

Regarding the actual subject of this thread-our DYAD dual-disk setup may work well for you. It will hold your power levels all day, while maintaining basically stock pedal effort and no chatter.
