Default 94 Firehawk ABS INOP idiot light

Hello I have a great low miles 94 Firehawk, runs great. Yesterday the ABS INOP light came on, but I still have brakes and no problems. How to fix this and is it hard to find the abs mod and replace it??

This is letting you know that your ABS system is no longer working. You'll still have brakes, but no anti-locking. This could be a number of issues. Your ABS module could be bad. Is should be under the hood on the driver's-side. Look for a large aluminum block. The electronics portion is mounted to it. You may also have a faulty wheel speed sensor. The rear sensor is located on top of the rearend center section.

Not on 93-97 cars. The EBCM is mounted under the dash on the driver side.

I had a brand new hub I put in when I redid my front suspension that was bad right out of the box. Get someone to scan for a code and replace what's broken.

This could be an easy fix. Your first step is to get a hold of a scanner that will pull the detailed codes from the ABS module. That could point you quickly to the fix. (Unfortunately, the cheap scanners will only pull PCM codes and not those for ABS and other systems.)
