00 Trans Am Intakes I'm looking for an intake for my 2000 Trans Am. It is NOT a WS6 just a regular TA. I'm looking at the Volant intake but I'm not sure if it fits under the non-ws6 hood as everyone says it's supposed to seal against the WS6 hood.
Either that or a FTRA. I would do that in addition to a filter and a lid.
Which setup should I go for? If anyone can tell me whether the Volant will work under a regular hood, that would be great. I do like the look of the Volant but if it doesn't fit I'd go with a FTRA and a lid

The Volant looks impressive but it doesn't promote cold air induction with the standard hood. A lid with FTRA or SSRA is going to get you more performance.
In my case I cut the hood brace open front and rear to provide direct cold air to the intake. This works with a lid or Volant.
