Default Need help getting build numbers please help

I have a blue 99 TA convertible. A twin of mine just sold on local xraigslist and the guy said it was 1 of like 160 built... i just wanted to do some research on that. If anyone has any info that would be great! I included a pic that should help. Thanks!

Was it the light blue quassar blue metallic? That was a pretty rare color.

Actually you have the navy blue metallic and it looks like its 1 of 195 convertibles.

That 195 includes 'verts that were WS6s, so subtracting the 40 NBM WS6 'verts built from the total, you get 155 '99 NBM non-WS6 T/A 'verts built. So it appears that the seller of your twin was under-selling the rarity.

So.. what if you break it down by interior color and trans type? This one unfortunately is automatic. Its a tan leather interior

Unfortunately, when I did the Firebird breakdowns (before CompNine started charging for access to their data), I did not split the non-WS6 cars by transmission. About the best you can do is estimate by multiplying the percentages to get close, but it will always be an estimate that assumes even distribution of options across exterior colors and not an exact number:

155 * 0.74 (A4) * 0.16 (Tan Leather) ~= 18

The tan leather / NBM combo probably makes it quite unusual.

So the rough un documented estimate is 18?

Pretty much. You could always got to CompNine.com, pay the fee and look up the exact count yourself. Keep in mind though, that at least the way it used to work was, you need to "filter" on just the key RPO codes you are interested in (body color, trans and interior) otherwise if you filter on ALL RPO codes it'll tell you that your car is 1 of 1 (like it does nearly every other car). This is because one of those RPO codes indicates the week of manufacture. So interpret with caution.
