Default I bought something silly

Maybe silly to some I think it's pretty amazing. The past three years I settled on the idea that I'm a pretty big Pontiac fan with a GTO as my daily and the bird as my fun car. So I randomly scour eBay to see if any Pontiac dealership items pop up. Lighted signs, rugs anything that would have been seen at a dealership in the last year's they were up and running. I stumbled on this and they wouldn't ship it but we're only 3 hours and 10 minutes away. We worked out a deal and I picked it up this weekend.

Nice! Up to about 20 years ago there was a working Pontiac Indian Head neon sign on the main drag in Greensburg, Kansas. Some memorabilia dealer ended up getting it. Would have loved to have that!

That's cool, so sad to see Pontiac and Olds gone along with Plymouth and Mercury.
Miss the good old days when import cars were mostly a novelty and the roads were covered with American Iron.

Ultra cool!!
Gee, I have no idea why they wouldn't ship it.
I also have picked up some rather unique dealership items as well. My prize is a 2001 Pontiac salesman's portfolio brochure (full thick 3" notebook).

Thanks guys, NC01TA I think I need to see some pics of that binder haha I guess shipping was the wrong word I was trying to get him to meet me in Nashville it would have cut the trip in half. He told me didnt have anything to do it with......oddly enough I picked it up at his business that sold patio and outdoor furniture and he had several box trucks. Oh well it was well worth the tirp to me

I also have a rug that that I also got off ebay. I originally thought it was aged and worn, but I saw another one of them pop up and it had the exact same wear pattern on it. just has the arrow and Pontiac in red letters under it. wouldnt mind finding another one if I can.

There was a family owned Pontiac dealer here since the late 60's I believe and the family sold it to a dealer group in the early 2000's and they moved it to a building closer to the Interstate. Ive often wondered if he kept any of that stuff, but Ive never asked him when I run into him. Glad to see im not the only one interested in the stuff though

Here ya go. The one page actually has real samples of the material (it isn't just a photo). Another highlight of this portfolio, or lowlight, is the Aztec.

Hahahaha Aztec depends on how you view breaking bad I think.

I still have a brochure from when I bought my bird. Though it's missing a page.

That binder is awesome though

I'm also a fan of these old Pure maps from the 60's when Pure was the "Official Fuel of Nascar'. The Firebird logo is a no-brainer for me and my man cave. I have quite a few versions. You can still get 'em in the $10 range on ebay. Here are a few examples.

Yeah I have some fun stuff all over the garage but the rug and that dispaly are the only official items, I have a pointiac arrowhead banner that I havnt found a place to hang since I knocked out the wall it was on to open the garage up a bit more.I also have a GTO banner that my sister in law got me for christmas. Id love to have a large lighted sign to put up, but not come across anything that im must have yet. I need to pick up a bathroom stall somewhere since at the moment I have an open air toilet hahaha. which will just give me another wall to put stuff on.
