Default Nerd mod on 02 firebird 5.7

So I was on wish and the nerd in me couldn't resist buying an led decepticon emblem. Was wondering if anyone has installed one on an 02 firebird? If so could you let me know where and which lights you wired it to? I'm thinking of wiring it to my fog lights and having the emblem as an optional light with my fog switch. But I cant bring my self to drill through my bird on my bumper haha

hahahaha haha love it!

as far as a place to put it? tough call not a whole lot of flat surfaces to mount an emblem like that. How large is it?

About 3 to 4 by 4 Inches. I can put it on the bumper just in front of the hood I found a spot that's great for it to stick to. Matter of drilling into my bumper is all and I'm hesitant to drill on my bird lmao I may be nerding out....but i love my car too much. Haha if I find a small enough drill bit I'm going for it. Hopefully I can get it to turn on with my fogs.

yeah wont be difficult to tap into the leads for the fog lights just splice in near the plug on either side.

decided against the bumper. Took the bird plate off so if I want to I can cover the drill spot up later down the road.

If you are going to nerd-out, you should do it correctly. Everyone knows that GM vehicles are Autobots. You might as well put a Ford emblem on the car, also, if you are going to go Decepicon...

my previous wbody gtp had a decepticon window vinyl hidden in the back rear window (sedan). only reason for the decepticon was because it was turbo'd and not supercharged plus debadged lol.

I like where it's placed. curious on the led when it's lit.

I'm downtown where they did a lot of filming and they parked all the cars (mostly unattended) a few blocks away from my house. I was on a total mission one night to put truck nuts on all the cars and see if any got into the movie.

... but I was too intoxicated to find that many sets of truck nuts at that time of the evening, let alone secure them to the vehicles.

One of my son's V6 cars had one of those on each side of the sail panel when we bought it. But they weren't lighted so you still take the Top Nerd award.

Needless to say, he got them off ASAP. Had I foreseen that a thread like this would exist someday, I would have taken a pic, but alas, that thought never occurred to me.

I feel a "Dad of the Year" award coming on after two new, lighted transformers logos suddenly appear on the sail panels of your son's car.
