Default Dashboard lights

I have a 2002 WS6. Living in Florida, during the day itís really necessary to wear sunglasses almost all the time. As a result, I usually canít see the dash gauges- itís just too darn dark in there.

What Iím thinking of is wiring the dash lights into the daylight (daytime) running lights.

Is this doable? If it is, next step is to put leds in the dash.

Any thoughts?

Do you by chance have the interior light brightness dial turned down?
