Default Production # for these rims?

Hey, guys.

Would anyone here happen to know what the years and production numbers are for Trans Am's that came with these rims?

Just curious to know how rare they are. I've never come across these in person.

They were only available on 2000 WS6 as an option. Never seen a set in person. No idea on production numbers. I do believe member SweeTbone on here has a set on his MRM TA

Those are commonly known as the "Salad Shooter" WS6 rims that were available in MY 2000 only. While they shared the same RPO (N66) as the prior year's 17" WS6 rims (which in 2000 got re-assigned RPO QF6), the production numbers of these from CompNine show:
- 11 WS6 Formulas came w/ N66 in 2000 (6 M6s, 5 A4s)
- 224 WS6 Trans Am Coupes came w/ N66 in 2000 (131 M6s, 93 A4s)
- 38 WS6 Trans Am Verts came w/ N66 in 2000 (12 M6s, 26 A4s)
(theres a link to a full breakdown in my sig)

That's a total of 273 MY 2000 WS6s w/ "Salad Shooters". By comparison, the other 8063 WS6s came w/ the QF6 wheels used previously (formerly N66). So yeah, "Salad Shooters" are pretty rare.

No, those earlier "swirly" rims were 16", not the same as these 17" rims.

Solid info from @JohnnyBs98WS6Rag above, including the RPO data. Great post!

Only thing I can add is that this N66 3-spoke wheel was actually listed as the 'standard' wheel for 2000 MY WS6 cars (I recall this from when I bought my '00 WS6 brand new), though most were obviously ordered with the QF6 style instead.

I want a set of those so bad! I'm part of the minority that loves these wheels. One of these days I'm sure I'll find some, but they are hard to come across.

I would think there is a good chance that at least half of those have hit the scrap yard already. As with many stock rims on performance cars over time they usually get dumped for aftermarket options. Very few have decent resale value and based on the look of these I would think most have the same thought. With this in mind that's how I come to this hunch.

found some information on TransAmWorld, apparently these were made only for model year 2000 and only 273 sets were made.

This was already covered in excellent detail two months ago by @JohnnyBs98WS6Rag in post #4 above.

For as rare as these wheels were, there were 2 cars local to me that had them..the formula was not a WS6 but the original owner had to have bought them new from the dealer and put them on the car when it was pretty new, and the 2nd car I only saw once a couple months after the pic of the formula was taken actually.
