Default 1999 Firehawk Equipment

I have a 1999 Formula Firehawk. The only option was floor mats added at SLP. What would have been the original air lid and shocks/spring setup on this car. Is it the decarbon or Bilstein? What air lid would I have?

I can't speak for certain on the base Firehawk shocks/springs for '99. However, as for the air lid, there was no upgrade lid available in 1999, so you have the same lid as any other LS1 F-body.

I had the base shocks on my Firehawk when purchased (and subsequently upgraded to the OEM Bilstein/Eibach combo, purchased from SLP). IIRC, the shocks were by deCarbon, were red in colour, and would be the same parts as on any Trans Am. The lid (and silencer thing attached to it) were also the OEM Pontiac parts, exactly the same as on any V8 Firebird. I upgraded to an aftermarket SLP lid shortly after the vehicle was purchased.

Yes, the Bilstein shock package was an optional upgrade, as was the Blackwing lid. But I think the SLP Dual Dual muffler was standard?

Dual/dual muffler was standard on '99+ Firehawk, but the Blackwing lid was not available in the '99 model year.

Correct, IIRC the Blackwing lid was part of the 345hp package, available on the 2002 model year Firehawks. Also IIRC, the Blackwing lid was on back order during the production run, and some 2002 owners had it shipped to them after they took delivery of their cars. I remember discussion of this subject on the SLP Forum, before it was shut down in Fall 2002. I was fortunate to buy my Blackwing lid used (in perfect shape), and added it to my 1999 Firehawk.

Did all Firehawks come standard from SLP with the Hurst shifter or was that a SLP option add on?

Hurst shifter was not an SLP specific item, it could be added to non-SLP cars as well. This was a GM option under RPO BBS.
