Default Gen V Lt4/T56 Swap 68 Firebird Project

Hey all,

Felt the need to post a little bit about my fathers project car.My dad and I have always enjoyed GM cars, Pontiacs in particular. I have owned a couple Trans ams and currently have a C5 Corvette, he currently owns a 2000 Firehawk Trans am and a 69 GTO . A couple years ago he brought home an old 68 Firebird 400 4 speed. As epic as it sounded she needed quite a bit to work. The original plan was to keep it pretty close to stock but that quickly was scrapped in favor of a pro touring build, long story short we are about half way done with most of the metal work being done such as cowl replacement, roof re skin, rear body panel replacement, mini tub, subframe connectors, smooth firewall, shaved drip rails , floor pan replacement and a few other things (Still have the rear bumper tuck and the trans tunnel to do.) The car has a Speedtech Extreme Subframe #88 with c6z upper and lower control arms and c7 spindles, Sweet rack, Willwood 6 piston calipers front on 14.25 inch rotors and 4 piston rear on 14 rotors, Quick performance Ford 9 inch 3:70 gears, Viking adjustable shocks all around. From what I have read I believe this will be the first Gen V LT4 swap Firebird in the world paired to a t56 super magnum 6 speed trans. We will be installing the engine and trans in a couple weeks as soon as the Morosso oil pan gets here. Will continue to update and post pictures! Feel free to ask any questions!
