Default Help with Formula 1996 with lt1

Was runni g acted like out of gas then quit havent been able to start since it wasnt out of gas tried starting fluid wouldnt start sounds like no fire tried. To use obd2 and its giving me a msg cant link anyone have any thoughts please help

Maybe the optispark is bad.

Last one I worked on like this was the computer. I had to send it out to be repaired because no quality rebuilds were available.

Sure sounds like it as the first guess to me as well. I've owned both a 1996 Formula and 1996 Corvette with the LT1 engines. Super reliable engines except for that darn optispark acting up eventually. The last time I read about the replacements (on the Corvette forum) the choices were starting to get limited as far as quality. Don't be cheap if this ends up being the culprit with your Formula. Do a little research ahead of time. Good luck!

Had a similar issue with my LT1 a while back...wound up being the ignition coil...
