Tail light Replacements Hi guys!
I just recently bought (as of 7/2024) a 2002 base Firebird. I am the second owner of it, and I kind of had to revive it to get it where it’s at now. She drives but isn’t really a looker and wanted to know if you guys had any recommendations for replacement tail lights. I haven’t been able to find any place that’s both reliable and decently priced. I’ve tried FB groups and marketplace but nothing but scammers and flakers.

If you want 100% factory look lights, you will need to find a good used pair. A few years back I needed to replace 1 of mine, and I ended up getting a matched set from a junkyard in Ohio for $500 a pair. You'd be hard pressed to find a pair of good ones that cheap now. It appears there are some aftermarket ones out now, but they don't look factory. I like the look of some of them, but I like the outside of my car to look stock, so I got a good used pair. Figure on paying $700-900 for a good matched set of used ones. Look in the marketplace section here, there are tail lights for sale fairly often as well as people parting out Firebirds. If not there, contact Hawk's Performance, they usually will have some available.
What is wrong with your existing tail light assemblies? Can they be restored? I saw a U-tube video some time ago on removing the lenses and cleaning up the silver buckets that had been rotted by moisture, and then re-sealing so they don't leak again. If your parts are cracked, this will be more difficult.
I got some stuff from him a long while back before things went south. Things were mostly OK back then. I still have his reproduction sail panel waiting to some day be installed to replace my bubbly one. And his original fiberglass DE valence that Fedex or UPS (I forget which) kindly broke in half when they folded the box for some weird reason. Never got it fixed (Mark gave me a partial refund for the estimated repair cost), though I intended to get it fixed and installed eventually.

He renamed it and has quite a few videos on YouTube showing his products. The tail lights look great, especially with the bird emblem in it, but getting it is a different story, according to the comments.

I have literally almost bought whole Firebirds just to snag the taillights out of them. You can occasionally find wrecked or blown up base models for around $1000, and considering what the taillights go for, I could pull them off and scrap the rest and make a profit. Check Marketplace.
