I agrea with you, hoods look badass and one of the very few that do on a T/A, but
But!!!
I have read many times on this site about the poor quality that the hood shows up as when it reaches your doorstep. No, i dont mean bad shipping, it is bad "making of the hood"

I've been lusting after this hood the first time I saw it 6 years ago. I wanted it on my 94 and I really want it on my 99, but I've heard problems with the build quality and fit. I'm not really interested in problems for $1000 + paint & labor. I'm also curious about water getting into the heat extractors. Have you ever had your car out in a downpour or at a car wash?

I havent had any problems and i live in south florida, and i have taken it out in very bad down poors without any problems with the hoop, traction on the other hand was a problem. only thing i see wrong with the hood is in the front it hits and has taken off the paint in that area but u cant see it unless u open the hood and look for it. i can post of pics if u want. other then that i love the hood. i get props on the hood almost every day. let me know if u want some more pics.

No pix?
Besides issues with water during downpours and carwashes, the other thing making me think twice about the Meecham is the $$$. It's 1k just for the hood, without prep and paint. I could do some WS6 knock-off painted for that (of course, that's not what I want, so that's why we're talkin...)

Man! Sorry to hear about your 'bird! That sucks! Nice Xmas present, huh??
Before I sold it (a few years before), some dumb old lady hit my 68. She was backing out of her driveway and *never* looked back. She bumped right into the passenger-side door with her giganto MB diesel! Put a lovely dent right in the door. Luckily, the window wasn't down, otherwise it would've shatter the glass inside the door.
I sat in the car and screamed! She said, "it's okay, my insurance'll take care of it." Yeah, you could cut off my arm and your insurance will take care of it, but you've still damaged my baby and it had gone 26 years without a scratch. This was also 6 months after I had it painted.
Yeah, that was fun.
