TORNATIC!!

I'm wondering if anybody thinks the bird will be back?? I really love the bird and if they bring it back I hope they keep the body style similar to the most recent one.

if the bird returns...i am almost certain GM will make it some retro inspired POS...nothing against retro but lets be orginal....keep in mind I am an amateur Automotive designer !!!!!!

I dont think so, but who knows. I kinda hope they don't. The car went out on a high note and I would hate to see it return some retro looking POS. No new Firebird is better than some sub par Firebird. Looking at some of Gm's new cars I just dont know if they can do it right.

I'm willing to bet most of my life's savings that the 'bird is dead for quite some time. Perhaps someday they bring it back like the GTO, but it is gone in my book. Politics rule the Earth. With Mr. Lutz at the helm who is quoted "the Firebird's days are over, we need new material for the future". He must have lost a race to a Formula in the mid-80s Anyways, I don't see it on the drawing board and I don't see it again in the near future. I do see it later on though. It'll be similar to the GTO, fond in memories but never quite the same in real life.

I honestly could care less, I already own 1 Trans Am, dont really want another. I dont plan to get rid of my Trans Am and theres still a ton of stuff left to do on it.

I see it as a possibility, but am scared that they will destroy all the style it went out on. But I have heard rumors that the camero will be brought back. I love my WS6 and feel the only good that could come is a newer better LS engine, b/c the style of the 4th gen T/A can not be beat.

It's just one in the line of many Pontiac marks that are being sent to the curb. I wonder how long the GTO is goiong to last. Really. It's a refrence to teh past, and we caint have that now can we??? Grand Prix should be next on the chopping block about 3~4 years from now because it reminds them of the Bonneville.

It will probably be back in the future like they brought the early 90's sports cars back now. Like the Z, RX-8, etc..

Im sure it will be nothing like the last one, cant get any better looking IMHO. I really dont like all the retro styling.

I hope it comes back, but I agree that it will most likely have very bad lines. They ruined the GTO. I would love to see a new bird....course, all of us are the ones people hope to sell their cars too, we're the fanatics.

Can anyone ID that pos in the thumbnail pic? I have a vid of that thing running a road course, and man, it is ugly. It has no style, no taste whatsoever. No aggressive stance or lines at all.

Thats the "chevy SS" concept car. Supposed to be like a family sedan-muscle car. I guess kinda like a HEMI Doge Magnum or something. I think it's fuggly.

If they do I hope it is down the road a ways and they keep a similair body style to the last models made....made even alittle more HP under the hood too
