Post Complete F-Body Color/Year Table

After having a hard time piecing together accurate 'what years was x color offered' information each time one gets asked about, and wondering about this myself, I decided to make a table of all the Firebird and Camaro exterior colors and the years they were used in. This is complete/correct as much as I can determine... let me know any questions/comments.

14.2 KB Zip file attached, which contains a 401 KB HTML file.

Order of color groupings: Black, Gray, Silver, White, Cream, Yellow, Light Green, Green, Turquoise, Light Blue, Blue, Dark Blue, Purple, Maroon, Red, Orange, Gold, Brown

(And here is a chart of 1982-1992 and 1993-2002 interior colors: http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/82_92colorchart )

cool. That cream beige was also available on 85 Birds. It's such a racey color.

Nate - Hm, got a source I can see about that? I tried looking around and didn't find any... want to be sure before adding anything, would end up confused again otherwise.

My car is an 85 and it's beige.

Frost Beige seems a tad too light colored, but the big ol can of Krylon auto beige seems to be a perfect match. yeah, kinda scary/sad.

Yeah, some of the names don't make a lot of sense! Going to stick with what it says though

you only have hugger orange listed as only a color option for 69 and 70. I know i have seen some newer camaro's in that color. Were all of these repainted or was this a color option in the mid to late 90's?

EDIT: Opps my bad i just looked back and its listed twice and was available in 99. Must be a different code for two colors with the same name.

I posted a link to this thread in the Camaro forum also, and in that thread someone asked the very same thing... the difference is the 'Clear Coat' designation https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....41&postcount=5

Glad ya like it!

Pewter wasn't part of regular production until 1999, but it was a 'pull-ahead' color in 1998 (63 Camaros, and presumably some Firebirds too) while they worked on preparing the color for full production the next model year. http://www.camaroz28.com/articles/98...rs/index.shtml
