Who here wants to sell there Firebird for one? I have always been a Firebird guy. Never driven anything else in my 18 yrs of driving. To top it off I just bought a new TA So who among us are diehard Pontiac fans?

Here is a link to artist rendeing that turns out to be darn close to what was leaked this week on the net.

GM "rightfully so" was extremely P**SED that they where. Therefore they demanded that websites take down the pictures. I am sure they are around somewhere though.

1992 Firebird 305, 1997 WS6 Trans AM, 2002 TA Firehawk .
I blame Knight Rider! ...since I loved the show as a kid, I HAD to have a bird when I was old enough to own a car. :-)
Since there are no more birds, and probably wont be for a long time, if ever, I plan on keeping this one very long-term.

yea, after seeing that I am definitely holdin on to the T/A. I'm a big fan of the curves and shapely lines of the late T/As and am not a big fan of the sharp blocked shape of the newer car designs. Possibly a candidate for the GF later on...

I think the 5th gen Camaro concept is pretty sharp. I plan on driving up to the Detroit Auto Show again this year, so seeing it in person will probably solidfy my feelings towards it.
I have to admit that I bought my 'bird versus a Camaro only for it's looks. I'm a Chevy guy at heart. Since the 'bird is "Chevy-powered", I felt I got the best of both worlds.
Would I trade my 'bird for a 5th gen Camaro? If I wanted another new car payment then yes I probably would. Would I want to lose all the time/money I have invested in my 'bird?--probably not. Can I afford another new car payment on an artist's wages?--definitely not.

While I like the Camaro, And my Favorite Camaro is a 69 Yenko with Sidepipes. I would never trade mine. I suppose should the Firebird never come back I'd buy a used vette Years down the road.

I'll buy whatever they build. Its just too damn fun to take a V8 rwd car nobody has messed with yet and tweak it out and run some numbers. Personally, I like the 4th gen Firebirds better than any other 4th gen. I even like the looks of my silver Formula over my Hugger SS.

Someone emailed me the pics. Email me and I can forward for those who have not seen them. As others have mentioned, I'm not a fan of the retro styling efforts-I thought they should have kept evolving, refining and updating the 4th Gen shape-maybe with a few retro cues. Also I'm a TA guy would find it hard to identify with driving a Camaro though I admire them and realize that under the skin and interior, they are pretty much the same car. Lastly if this is not showing up until 2009, Chevy will probably be behind the curve with this styling by then and hopefully, I will have a used Ferrari

I like them. While I would never trade my car, I would by a new camaro(in my 14 years of driving, I've had 3 camaros and 4 Trans Am's) to park along side the WS6.
