SLP 402 with ATI ProCharger D-1SC at 16 psi of boost = 757 rwhp on Mustang Dyno!

I am truly amazed that we are seeing 16 psi with a 402 cid engine! We're not quite done tuning yet, but it looks like 16 psi is all we're going to make, as boost is leveling off. 757 rwhp is not shabby on a Mustang chassis dyno, this would be approx 800 rwhp on a Dynojet. I have to look this morning to see what heads are on this engine. We'll finish tuning this morning and I'll post the dyno results.

Thanks guys. You're right, even with a six speed this car should be running some really good times. Bob

that looks great, but pink brakes? lol

newb question but what is the difference between a mustang dyno and a dynojet, and why do they yield different #s?

They're suppose to be purple... lol

The Mustang dyno uses eddy current, which places a load against the rollers equal to what the car would see on a road. The dyno computer has all the drag coefficents of most cars, as well as their weights. The dyno also has a weather station that uses all this info to accurately calculate the numbers.
A Dynojet has a weighted wheel, and once this wheel is spinning, there is very little resistance. Bob

Here is one of the runs we made, this car is consistantly putting out 750 to 757 rwhp, run after run, all on 93 octane unleaded! The torque is right up there close to the horsepower! Bob

As bob said, we did a video on this car. There will be aditional video if the car is ran at the dragstrip, but for now here is this. The D1sc really screams uptop when it is making the 16#'s of boost!
