well ive got a 96 trans am, a4.
Ive put an exhaust cut out on it, and magnaflow exhaust, and a ebay intake lol.. im looking for more or less of the little things that i could do to it.. for example, i was looking to put a msd blaster ignition coil on it. well it turns out i can only find them for 93-95 models.. and 97-02 models.. maybe i havent been looking correctly but i searched summitracing.com really i dont yet know alot about moding cars.. and ide like to learn so if anyone has any suggestions.. or comments.. im open to them. i guess im wanting just a little horsepower.. without spending alot of money.. i thought the coil would help a little but i am lost on that part for now. also i was thinking about a 3.90 ring and pinion but i cant decide between a 4.10 and a 3.90 .. basicly im scared ill lose too much of the top end speed with the 4.10 can anyone also fill me in on this ?
thanks guys/girls

a4 you need 3:73's, 4:10-4:11. are more for 6 speed cars. start from the rear and work forward, since you have exhaust and an intake, id go with gears then heads/headers/cam, differnet intake?. hooker super comps, lt4 heads and intake?

Do the Throttle Body Coolant By-pass. You can get the kits off eBay for $9~ or just go get a 3/8" hose connector from the parts store and 2 hose clamps. You can probably find instructions on this site if you check out the "search" feature. Could probably just search "Coolant Bypass". Then I'd start learning how to tune your computer, since yours is easy if it's an OBDI car. Don't know if it's still the same for OBDII, but I'm sure it is. You just need a laptop and a cable, along with some know-how. Or you can send it in and have that done, but I'd wait if you send it in, till after you have some mods to make it worth the money. If my A4 would've worked with it, I'd have gotten the JET Shift Enhancer, but I don't know how well it works, so I'd ask before you outright buy it.
Oh, and welcome to the club Hopefully you were an import owner, because now that you own an F-Body, you'll be reborn lol
