Default Pontiac Historical Services - Experiences

A couple days ago I faxed my information to PHS and yesterday I sent an email to them just to get some kind of confirmation that they received my fax. I have yet to hear anything back. I understand it takes some time to put the info together, but a simple email reply letting me know that they have the fax would be nice.

For those that used their services, what kind of response time did you receive from them? Did the information arrive in a timely manner?

I think they're hit and miss... some people say they have great experiences.

Others (like myself) will tell you it's a complete waste of money. What I got sent was absolute crap, and my window sticker has typos and incorrect information on it. I was going to do my other Firebird until I got back the first packet. I wrote them back about it and they never responded.

Complete waste.

I found it pretty cool. I mailed mine in, and I believe it was a couple of weeks before I received my packet.

My window sticker was dead-on correct.

Like DrEvyl said, it's obviously hit and miss.

I got it for my 74 and I actually got a ton of good information.

I didn't think that they did this for newer cars though

Their site does not list any model year restrictions as far as the Information Packet goes. However, their site shows that they only make window stickers up to model year 2000....BUT, I have read where they may be doing some past 2000 now.

So I just noticed that PHS charged my credit card today, so I am assuming that they *did* receive the fax and are creating the packet to send to me.

Could be now. I know that I got my about 10 years ago and at that time they did not do new cars. Let me know what all comes with it.

When I bought my 'bird in '99, they were doing them up to the '98 model year. I waited patiently for them to eventually add the '99 & '00 model years so I could get mine done

It is $35 for the packet to be mailed to you and an additional $10 if you want a copy faxed to you immediately (in case you were looking to buy a car and wanted this info).

Since they don't accept online orders, you will need to print and mail or fax the order form in. Their website says they aren't responsible for multiple fax submissions, so to me that means if you want more than one copy you'll need to fax the order form twice. I don't think they'll cut a break on price if you want more than one copy, but you could try emailing them and see if they will respond to you.

Really, most of what they send you can be photocopied. For myself, I know that I photocopied my buildsheet SEVERAL times.

Took them about 2 - 3 weeks to send my stuff to me.

My window sticker was just as if someone retyped the stuff in an word document and hit the print button and highlighted some things. I was expecting an actual copy of the original window stick, but no such luck. Oh well.

Sounds like the buildsheet not the window sticker. I got the samething w/ my intial packet....my window sticker was dead on! Exactly like the one from the factory.

I got my packet from them first, with that packet came a a piece of paper stating that my window sticker will be arriving seperately. Which it did about 2 weeks later. Of course the site tells you that you have to have the packet made first before having a window sticker made. To me....the price wasn't bad at all.

I received my information packet today. Good stuff! ALSO, they will make window stickers up to 2002 now! The window sticker order form on their website hasn't been updated, but they included a new order form in my information packet and is specifies up to 2002. I faxed my order for the window sticker tonight.

It's just too bad they don't respond to emails, other than that the product seems good.
