whats this worth?
i'm able to get my hands on a 79 trans am 403..... all original 69,xxx mils on it needs paint would it be worth it to buy the car then fix the minor stuff? then sell it ? and is it worth 6,000? i need opinions!

depends how original it is and how much work it needs. but, it has things going against it, like the oldsmobile engine. and this isn't a slam to olds lovers, but there is an undisutable fact that the Pontiac block T/A's bring in more money. also, 1979 was the Trans Am's highest year of production. Lot's of them out there...
I would look and see what prices decent examples are bringing in (ebay, auto trader, etc), try to figure out how much you think you will need to invest into it (time and money) and go from there.
If you think it's profitable, then go for it!
