Default What about putting a 383 stroker in a firebird

I was wondering does anybody own a 383 stroker and have any suggestions about outting one in a 1989 firebird?

383 stroked LS6 block here, running in my 2002 TA Firehawk. I love it, and wouldnt change a thing.

I have no idea about installing one into a 1989 bird tho.

my friend has a 383 in his '83 bird, and another has a 383 and a 6 spd in an 86 iroc.

what do you want to know>?

just if it would be worth it to bore a 350 engine block I have out to a 383 and if i would have to change alot up in my car going from a 305 to a 383

o **** i dont think you can go from 305 tp 383
im going from 350 to 383
i dont know if the stroke will fit for that big
may be wrong tho

well i know that a 305 and a 350 are almost identical meaning that whatever I put on the 305 will fit the 350 so I didn't know if it would be the same as going from a 305 to a 383 as a 350 to a 383

A stroked and bored 305 is approx. 331 max due to bore.

a 383 is a bored and stroked 350. i cleared that up several posts up^^^
