i have a 1985 firebird it was orignally a v6 fuel injected now its a 350 carborated i recently took my dash apart and i want to clean up all my wireing the wiring is hacked i want to completly wire my whole car how can i make the lights and brake lights and everything work the same the engine does not run off the computer but do the lights ?

Look to see if they make a Painless wiring harness for the guage cluster for your car with a V8 . Either that or find a junker V8 firebird/camaro and take the wiring harness from that .
