Can you get a better close up, unless you ARE talking about that "Stop" button.

From my understanding, taking them off ruins them. Kind of a "on" only part. I would assume it's the pressure fit male/female design. The style where if you can access the male part, and squeeze it together you can pull it apart.

Another though, find a big jacket with some snap buttons (big jacket usually equates to big buttons) and then put on some loctite and use that. Maybe spray paint it before hand

It's the gray part that snaps onto the actual buckle. Theres one on each side. I need the top side. it's what actually stops on the little button on the belt. (I don't need the button)

You will notice on the passenger belt, you see the backside of this gray piece I need. I need the top side thats circled

My seat belt in my 96 broke right there and did the same thing, my 99 is doing it now. You have to pretty much buy an entire seat belt set to get that one piece. If you could get just the male part of the buckle, it would work, but no one sells just that.

Even if you could buy the male part, how would you install it? The plastic piece, different story, but the metal piece is what I'm talking about. Unless you can unwind the whole belt and somehow remove the belt itself from the winding mechanism, there would be no way to put the metal buckle on w/o cutting the belt.

I would check the junk yard. I'd think that the plastic bit would un-clip with those little compression locks, much like what sensor plugs use.

Mine did that too, I think once they're broken you have to replace that belt to get the plastic cover.

The one on my wife's 98 is the exact same way...I dont think you can get just that piece either. I am just going to buy a whole set and just replace that one belt I guess.
