'96 fbird sputtering issue hello, I have a '96 firebird, 3.8l, v6, automatic trans that has a nasty sputtering issue.
It starts fine, idles fine, in park it revs as it should. when in drive, it sputters(pretty darned bad) upon acceleration. Going up hill I have to drop it into 3 to get it up the hill w/out sputtering much. And from a stop I have to start it in low1 to get going.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?
Or some troubleshooting tips?
