Default 6.0 L truck motor into 1999 ws6

My brother burned out 2 pistons in the ls1 in his 1999 Firebird ws6. We have a 6 L truck motor that we were thinking of swapping. Will this motor accept all of the alt, power steering, and air conditioning brackets? Also are there any other things that may pose a problem?

You just using the block and heads? I'm pretty sure the tall truck intake won't fit...

Msg the_merv. He basically did just that and runs a 408cid (I think 408) 6L truck block in his LT1 gen. It's pretty much a drop in for the most part, but if you run the good heads (L92 I think they are, he can answer that as well) you'll need a diff intake, but you should be able drop on LS2 heads, or the factory ones, and use the LS1/6 intake then.

you need to drill and tap one boss on the front left of the block for the alternator bracket.
You can use your LS1 intake on the 6.0L heads but you should go to an aftermarket to let it breathe

What 6.0 is it an LQ4 or an LQ9? The LQ9 is a higher compression engine an requires 91 octane, the Lq4 is a lower compression engine which make less hp and can run on 87 octane, both are good engines though and with mods produce good power.
