Default Head light acting wierd!! Help

I have a right side headlight that is driving me crazy! the headlight doors operate up and down fine but the motor on the right side continues to run after they are down. this is both annoying and embarassing. people look at me with some crazy expressions when im in parking lots at night! Any Ideas? thanks

-open hood

-turn on headlights

-disconnect battery

-use 10mm? wrench to remove nut holding arm for headlight assembly to the motor.

-remove arm from motor (going to have to pry)

-rotate manual adjustment **** so the cam that the arm is connected to rotate a full 180 degrees

-line up arm and cam on motor

-reinstall

-connect battery

-enjoy!

if that doesnt work then you need a new gear for that headlight motor.

yeah, you have to disconnect the shaft from the headlight motor and turn the **** so that the little rectangle piece with the round edges on the headlight motor is in the same position, only opposite how it was (basically you turn it 180 degrees) then you put the shaft back on, put on the bolt and tighten it down, now you're using the other 1/2 of the gear and if it hasn't already been done, it should be in like new condition since the headlight motor only uses half of the gear.

the adjustment **** needs to rotate more than 180 degrees, because the little cam rotates at like half the speed....but just watch the cam that the arm attaches to and make sure it rotates around 180 degrees and you are good to go.

I tried this procedure yesterday and it eent smoothly, but now the headlight only goes up 1/2 way without assistance. Guess its time for a new motor. Where is the best deal?

I put in the bronze gears and it works great. the only problem I have had is that the epoxy gave out and the gear cover on the motor fell off
