Rick-
I just cut and pasted this hoping the adults are here on LS1tech....

What is the difference in actual COST between the 1900 and the 2300?
What, if any, is the negative of running a 2300 over a 1900?

What do you feel is the limit of the stock G8 auto?
The G8 manual?

Would you please respond to question #1-#3 individually?
Thank you.

#1. For 93 octane states, what do you feel is the max boost and rear wheel hp/tq suggested for a daily driver GT or GXP?

#2. How much do you think a stock GT with nothing more than a TVS blower and headers will make to the wheels with what 8psi? 10psi?

#3. Why didn't you guys go with the TVS 2300? Even if it was underdriven?

I guess I'm the only person catching onto that.

Let us know when you're done asking which car weighs what, and dry humping the TVS2300 and "Why don't people buy it over the 1900?"

Maybe then the "adults" on GRRRR8 will come back. You seem to be dropping that phrase a lot lately.

If I unload on you, I'll get **** for it.
When I ignore you, you come back like genital warts.

So, how about you be a man and keep the drama in PRIVATE MESSAGES where it belongs.
Fair?

What are you referring to when you say limit? The shortblock is stout and will take a lot of abuse, but the trans will likely be a weak link.

I would say the max boost is 14-15 lbs. and 600ish RWHP/RWTQ. Again, at that level and depending on how you drive the car, the trans may not live.

I'd say 460-470 hp with the blower and headers at 8 lbs. and 480-490 at 10 lbs., but this is only a guess. Since we haven't done a blower and headers, I don't know for sure.

The cost difference is $500.00, but the bigger blower takes more power to turn so at low boost the 1900 may make more power. Obviously at higher boost levels that the 2300 was meant for it will beat the 1900.
