Default Livernois Stage 1 G8 GT goes 12.4 @ 117 mph

Today, the track finally opened and a customer of ours took his 2008 G8 GT to make some passes. It was his first time ever at the drag strip and the car has stock tires and converter and the following mods:

Livernois Motorsports CNC Valve Job (No porting)
Livernois Motorsports Stage 1 L92 Camshaft
Livernois Motorsports Dual Valve Spring Package
Livernois Motorsports DOD Delete Kit
Kooks Longtube Headers
Kooks X-Pipe w/ Cats
Kooks Catback Exhaust System
Rotofab Cold Air Intake System
U/D Pulley
Ported Intake & TB
Tuned by Livernois Motorsports

Stock it made 315 RWHP and after the mods, it made 452 RWHP.

His best 60' was 2.1 or 2.2, so with a drag radial, this car could definitely hit the 11's.

Regards,

Rick LeBlanc

HOLY CHRIST! Nice job guys. 137 HP gain with full exhaust, an CAI, and a cam? Jeez! These motors are either SERIOUSLY detuned or that's one HELL of a cam.

It's a little of both. It's only .2 smaller than an LS3 but utilizes the same top end, minus the DOD valvetrain/cam. Removing this, and throwing in a stout cam makes these motors quite a force.

That's some really nice mph for the mods...easily an 11 second car with a decent tire. I'm sure it feels great on the street.

Congrats.
That is some serious performance from those mods.
This alone will have you beating the new F@rd GT500.
Very Nice.

How much for ALL these mods including parts and install?

Thanks Rick.
That is A LOT of N/A performance for the money. If you don't want FI, this seems like a great option. Especially, if this package pushed the G8's auto trans near it's limit.

No problem. I'm glad I don't have a G8, because it would be hard for me to choose N/A or power adder and I'd probably end up doing both

The price for this N/A package is within $320 of your TVS 1900 installed and tuned.
If you HAD to choose only ONE of the 2 for your daily driver, what would you choose and why?

It's a tough choice, because I love the sound of a cammed car and had a head/cam Vette that I loved, but you can't beat the torque from the S/C and more power is only a pulley change away.
