Alternator light

Alternator light I have an alternator light that comes off and on but battery and alternator have been tested by professional and both are good has went into power save mode inline fuse is good i really need some help fiquring out what this could be and a fix please its my daily driver there was a loud pop at start up and then shortly after service charging system came on any ideas? Its 09 g8 gt

AutoZone, NAPA, Advance Auto etc CANNOT test a modulated alternator, regardless of what they say.
You will probably need a NEW alternator. Do not buy an aftermarket reman. or rebuilt. New GM only! GM part number 92191127. Amazon and Rockauto have them in stock for $200 which is half of what most dealers will charge.
