Are they making a GXP? If so what does that have under the hood? Everything I've read so far has the GT having the 362 hp V8. If they make a GXP that thing will be pretty badass. Moreso than it already will be.

I didn't consider it would get an import tax. GM might as well keep the Grand Prix in the line up, like it was for the Bonneville.
The base G6 costs about $17k, I don't want to make a jump to $31k+ for a the next model. Especially when I could get a new Grand Prix for $22k

Edit: per http://www.caranddriver.com/autoshow...ontiac-g8.html
"Prices for this rear drive Grand Prix replacement should start just under $25,000 for a base V-6 model, about $27,000 for a bare-bones GT, and into the mid-$30,000 region for a loaded GT."

itll be the 3.6 DOHC that they are using in the CTS and G6 GXP. itll be 260ish hp.
i saw a report that the G8 was getting an LS2, but i think it was the stupid publication making assumptions that a 6.0L v8 from GM is automatically an LS2.

Just talked to some reps at the OC Auto Show and the V8 will start at around 29,900.
Whisper: And the CTS-V's getting a complete revamp! I heard LS7 or blown LS3 talk from the head Cadillac rep there!

Yea they have the prices up on the website now. It appears they will be pretty nicely equipped with 2 main option packages you can add on along with the stand alone sunroof option.
