help with 04 Engine

I'm looking at buying an 04 gto engine from a guy that wrecked it. what is the casting number of the heads from that year? Were the 241's or 243's?

2004 has 241's from the factory

Werd....The only 5.7 liter motor to ever come with 243's from the factory was the LS6.

Right, the stock 04 GTO LS1 engine has casting 241 heads. LS2 and LS6 both have casting 243 (LS6 has sodium filled valves).
