The G8's a Mid to high 13 sec car.... You should have no problems at all..... The G8 GXP is a 13.1 second car, that one will give you a good race with the LS3 in it.....

A lot of opinion here...very little fact. At the track, stock for stock, the G8 does not have the wheel hop issues that a stock GTO has. Power to weight goes to the GTO, but if you can't get the power down you cannot win. My stock G8 will beat my GTO at the track (also with the aid of a much lower 1st gear in the 6 spd auto) every time. From a roll, there is no doubt the GTO would win, which is where the power advantage would be seen. Hope this helps.

I took one on from a roll at 30,45,and 60 and a dig beat him everytime we are both M6.And this is when i was stock.

My buddy has a 06 a4 GTO with and intake, tune and exhaust and he destroyed me when I was stock. I tuned mine and did some other stuff Outcome is gonna be different next time. I smoked a stock GTO and should be racing him as soon as I refill my uhhh.... gas tank. That's it. My gas tank.

Get the GTO because it's way more rare then the G8! If you do get the A4 put a stall in it and call it a day. You will smoke that G8 from a dig bad! If that doesn't work supercharge that pig! LOL

i beg to differ.. depends on the area.. around here ive only seen 4 g8gt's on the streets, hell g8s in general ive only seen gt's...
i see gto's about twice a week.. sometimes its one ive seen before, but eitherway 3 years of production last being 4 years ago opposed to 2 years of production last being almost 1 year ago, there are more goats on the street.. FACT..
homeboy isnt choosing between a gto or g8, his money is already going to a gto, just wanted to know who would win stock for stock..

and my opinion, not looking at any track time facts just the ones posted, and knowledge of weight/hp/torque is the gto should win.. keyword: should..
thats pretty cool that the g8 gets a big boost out of just tune..
