If the G8 is on a stock tune you should be real close but if he has a tune your in trouble. I know a couple of guys around here with G8 GT's with just a tune and cat back that run 12.90's.

I have never raced a g8 but have driven one. They do not feel near as fast to me but they turn out some good times. Also there are GTO's stock runnin 12.9's so i would still say it is a drivers race.

Wrong, but thanks for playing.
It'll be a good jaunt. They MPH a little slower, but are running healthy 13s stock, just like the LS2 goats. On a roll I would think they GTO would edge it out, just slightly... I'd love to see it though.

The Gt is heavier and puts out less HP. You will win if you cAn launch your car. Now of it was the GXP model you would hAve to worry. My buddy in is 06 vspec has ran 2 GTs beat them both and I can beat him. His car is also stock..

LS2 GTO dyno 340-350 Rwhp stock.
You should have the edge on the G8 GT with the Goat.

Should be close =) ill give the slight nod to the ls2 GTO Now If you had gotten a stock M6 GTO either ls1 or ls2 version you should def beat the G8GT. I ran 13.53 with all season tires with catback and shifter and im an ls1. Ive ran my friends's m6 ls1 gto with small mods of k&n drop in filter, short throw shifter, mufflers and cleaned up stock tune with HP tuners run 13.44. Lol best of luck man good luck!

I would have to say the gto should win. By the way If and when you get your a4 ls2 gto you want to get dyno tune asap. I could barely get a 13.8 before my tune, most of my runs were 14.1 14.2 got the car dyno tuned and bam 12.96, 13.0's. The stock tune with torque management wont let you have any fun. But anways ya the gto should win.
