GTO needs a spoiler delete option.

I agree. The GTO spoiler looks like a poorly conceived tacked on piece. It does nothing to enhance the appearance of the car. If I had a GTO it would be the first thing to come off.
Just my 2 cents.

ZZZ,
They actually ship them from Oz with the spoiler removed and placed in the back seat. Unfortunately the holes are pre-drilled so you'd have to use body filler and repaint the deck lid. Enough folks have complained, my guess is it will be an option in 2005. Just like the seat heaters, 18" wheels, side air bags, onstar and 400 horses. But that's a guess.

the testing for the MY2005 X281 (GTO) is taking place now. Apparantly the front and rear faschia has changed and they are even testing the LS2. I remember LS2's being shipped to AUS almost 6 months ago on tb.com.
I wonder if the 3 valve engines will really make that much more power and what the head porters will do with em.

An "insider" posted this picture on LS1GTO.com of the testing. My guess is that they'll advertise somewhere around 375 hp and really make 400 hp in 2005. With the C6 reportedly making 400 hp base and 500 hp in Z06 trim we're looking at a ton of potential. GM will never allow the GTO to outperform the Corvette in base trim, but as the Vette's performance moves up, so goes the performance ceiling for the GTO and all those that follow.

Just order a monaro boot lid, as they come without the spoiler....
