Default Oh boy, brother getting a Rustang

It's a '98 with a '04 swap with a solid rear axle and has 3.27 gears. It has a smaller pulley and made 475hp and 560 with a 100 shot.

If I were to race him how bad would I lose? Next month I'll have atleast 525 with a 125 shot or 550 with a 150 shot. Now my brother said he's not going to use the nitrous. It needs a few parts to make it work and the guy did the shot once on the dyno and that's it.

I looked up his cars weight and it a redunkulous 3050lbs and mine weighs 3750.

I know I can just race him to find out but that will have to wait since I live 800 miles away. I guess I can hope he somehow is worse than me at the track with a manual.

Same one and he's not paying what it's at now. I just looked it up and some person bid twice in a row which I find skeptical. He said it needs some fixing up on the outside along with a paint job. The guy said it's a 10 sec car and my brother couldn't stop talking about how fast it was, zZZzzzzZZ. He's never rode in my car since the nawzz.

And I got the weight off edmunds for a stock '98 with a V-6.

He went to the guys house and test drove it and told me he's getting it next week. Maybe the guy is going to see if he can find another sucker that will pay more.

Personally I would get something else other than a car that is around every corner.

I think your brother should walk away from this car. Something sketchy if the guy is still posting it for sale.

If the car is putting out the #'s advertised it's going to be a tight race.

Well he was going to buy it for less than 10k and if I was in this guys shoes I'd still have it listed on ebay to try and get more money. If I don't, then I have a backup plan.

My brother just wants a fast car I think. He has a smurfin Honda Fit that he can't get rid of. He only got that because he needed something good on gas since he was the only one working.

But if he gets it I will be recording the race. He just thinks racing at the track is no different than running on the street. Running a manual at the track on street tires isn't easy.

Well my bro bought it for 11.5k

When he told me I was like, WTF ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED!!

He said , yeah the engine and drive train on ebay is going for 10k.

WOW, I told him for that much you could get DISPLACEMENT over a little V-8 with a factory S/C.

Maybe I'm a hater but you could get a badass engine that would blow away that thing.

But he told me on the way home he would get a sideways in 3rd without dumping. Sounds like a beast considering mine can't get sideways in 1st.

Can't wait to race him. It puts down around (trying to remember) at the wheels 470hp.. That's not very much for having a blower with a smaller pulley. I should have about 420rwhp on just motor then add 150hp shot and given the weight difference I should still mop him up. I'll be sure to get some MT ETs and he's never ran anything at the track so hopefully I'll make him regret wasting that money on a Pusstang.

IDK if you know much about mustangs or not but he got a decent deal on that car. If its a clean swap and no problems. He got a good deal. Thats a terminator drivetrain and terminators cant be ****ed with and a low mileage terminator drive train can be sold for 10k.

Correct, I know nothing about Mustangs or cars for that matter. I just thought for that kind of money and only being a weekend car he could've gotten something better for the price. He even said the body needs work along with a paint job.

And I don't know about not being able to be fucked with. Put a blower on an LS2 and you'll make that Termi your bitch all day.

1 thing about a terminator motor is that is takes very little to make insane power with those. The engine is bulletproof and can take alot. 500RWHP is very very easy to attain with those. Start getting into bigger blowers and supporting mods and youll be seeing 600-700RWHP all day but you say it needs paint so he should focus on that first

He's not used to power. He told me yesterday he almost lost it again. At 60mph he had it in 3rd and floored it and went sideways. Of course this is coming from someone that DD a honda fit and the fastest car he's ever had was a '01 Mustang GT.
