Default Just Bought an 06 M6 Car, gotta few ?s

Hey Guys, Just bought My first Stick Car, An 06 IBM GTO (See Ava.)

I bought it bone stock from the 1st owner in DE with 23.5k Miles on it.

I Mostly plan to use it for a daily driver for college and just a street car to have fun in (im kinda young but i paid for the whole car myself lol). I was wondering if there was anything I should be concerned with
with this car.

For example, im not exactly the greatest stick driver yet, (I Never stall my car or anything, i just occaisionally accidently grind a gear every now or then or miss 3rd and rev my motor real high when im gettin on it) My question is, is there any thing particular about this 6 speeds i should know of in order to keep it in good shape and not fry any of the gears/clutch/TO bearing?

Also What are some good first mods to do as power adders (im only talkin bolt ons for now, i dont wanna rip apart to motor to do a cam or boost it just yet)

Thanks!

LTs.

Other then that just save up for some sort of boost if you decide you want to go fast.

Don't Do extremely High clutch drops... Cause this could happen and hurt you or everyone around you.

Take it to an empty parking lot and practice starts and stops and turns and shifting. Then Once you feel comfortable start playing with it. Powerslides, and burnouts (Brake method). You wont be disappointed with your GTO!

LTs and a tune is a good start. these cars have soft rear suspensions. they tend to wear out tires prematurely so you might want to look into upgrading it.

First mod: Replace the shitty stock shifter with a GMM!!
Second mod: LT heads and tune

Get comfortable driving it, check the clutch fluid and keep it clean, and maybe get some drag bags to keep it from wheel-hopping. The 6-spds are bad about that.
