Potential Fuel Rail Cover Fire Hazard. Another problem I forgot to make a sticky about. This is important, a few of my buddies had the same issue and thank god their car didn't catch fire. http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthr...38#post6342638

If you are unaware of the Fuel Rail Cover issues MANY people have had, please take a second to look at this recent thread: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349857 Also, do a search on FRC or Fuel Rail Cover. There is an ongoing problem that many people have had (fuel line rubbing on the cover) including several fires. There are fixes, the easiest being removal of the covers. Thanks! Just went outside to look at mine because i have heard of this before, found the left side quick release fuel line cut deep from the cover, covers are now gone and i will get on replacing the line. |
Great info to know. |
I checked my 2006. Fuel line is perfect not even close to rubing. Did they change anything for the 2006 model year to correct this? |
