Default Thinking about joining the GTO ranks...

I'm thinking about trading my Colorado (daily driver) in for an 05-06 GTO. I need you guys to sway me into doing it.

It'll be the first 8-cylinder car I've owned that is NOT a Camaro! At least I'd be keeping it GM...haha

Well I did it. It's a silver 2005 6-speed car. I'll post up pictures later.

They are a lot nicer in my opinion. They damn sure are easier to work on.

Pics are being posted now. I have one issue with the car: the front speakers don't work, and when the rear ones are turned up, they make an intermittent electronic fuzz noise. Does anyone have any input on this? I checked my fuses and they're all good. Oh, and the stock shifter is crap. Other than that, I am very pleased!

Isn't the GTO built on the same chassis/platform or similar to the Gen5 Camaro? If that makes you feel any better... First Transformers movie Bumblebee was actually a GTO they put Camaro panels on for the movie. I need Megan Fox in the front seat of my GTO...

Yeah I remember reading the article in GMHTP about the first Transformers movie and how Bumblebee was actually a GTO. The wheels were cardboard cut-outs!

Yeah, here's a shot of the car before I put the motor and trans in (the front end is sitting real high). I'm finishing up the small things: drive shaft fitment, exhaust, and engine wiring. It should be on the road within a month or so.

Interesting jump from the Colorado. There is an amp in the trunk, but I think it may just be for the rear speakers.
