No that won't fix it. It's leaking. It's not uncommon for them to fail. If you continue to drive it you'll be stuck on the side of the road with no clutch. Get a fBody slave for $80, drop the transmission and swap the fittings from your stocker to the new one when you install it. It's a PITA job but can be done in the garage on jack stands on a Saturday but either do it or pay someone to do it.

So the slave has failed or do u think I might have just busted a hose or fitting. I put fluid in it today and left it home at home. When i returned I had fluid in my driveway and it looked like it was coming from right behind the front driver side tire.

The "hose" for the hydraulics is a stainless line. The only rubber part of it is a short piece down by the transmission. Anything is possible but it's unlikely. Like I said it's very common to have slaves go out. Put some fluid in and have someone pump the pedal while you're looking under the car. A leaking slave will show itself by having the fluid come out a little gap on the bottom of the bell housing up by the engine.

Just make sure you get the fBody one for $80 and don't get bent over buying the "stock" unit which is the same thing with a different fitting at 3x the cost

We have them in stock with the fitting already swapped if need be. If your slave has been leaking I'd also check the condition of the clutch to ensure fluid contamination hasn't ruined the disc as you don't want to be pulling the tranny twice. Chris, 817-750-2000
