Painted FRCs, coolant and power steering reservoir
did this earlier this year, but im not on here much, so decided to pst em now, let me know what you think.
a couple of days before i painted the covers, thanks to CD2 engine detailer for the shiny manilfold =]

Looks good altho I'd just throw the FRCs on the shelf. They're just plastic nothings that help hold heat in and IMHO it looks better without them. The only other thing I did different was to leave a little "window" open on the overflow on the front by that hose. You can easily see if the coolant is low.

ahh i see, but i check the coolant every now and then so should be good, as long as i dont see any wet spots under the car.
As fas as the FRCs go, i dont drive around with them on, keep them wrapped up in trunk and throw them on at car shows cause like you said, hold heat in. Like our cars dont have bad enough heat soak cause the stupid IAT setup... SSOTRCAI in the spring hopefully to solve that =)

When I did my heads I spent a bit of time and polished up the aluminum valve covers. Not a mirror perfect job but IMHO they look pretty good. I like the mechanical look of the parts under the FRCs

haha nice ! yea me too, but people like judges at the car shows like cleanliness so i figured paint the FRCs too but my car is basically stock so i havent placed yet... =[ haha
