The SLP MAF looks like it flows well, but as bedo said it would be a huge benefit to get a well designed aftermarket air intake to take full advantage of it.
What other ( if any ) mods does you Goat have?

Well I am Definitely getting the CAI that is no doubt, but the SLP MAF and the eibach lowering springs are about the same price so I'm torn on which to get first i was wondering about how much difference the slp maf and the k&n cai would make in hp roughly together or just the intake and lowering springs for the look. It has Pacesetter Longutbes 3in catless mids and a flowmaster cat back

IMO i wouldnt get either of those. I have heard not so great things about the eibacht springs, and why not just pick up an 85mm MAF sensor and the harness from here? There is an 85mm Z06 maf for sale right now for $45. Then get some better quality springs, as there have been fitment issues/ size issues on GTO`s with eibachts. Just my .02

Also, the K&N HOT air intake is not a very good intake at all. I currently have the hardcore style that goes down thrue your fender, and even it sucks hot air from the radiator. The ONLY options that should be considered IMO are the DUSPEED (Very pricey), The SVEDE (Still pricey), or the vararam <<<< Just ordered mine, $311 shipped. Again these are my opinions, things i have learned very quickly from datalogging and watching others progress on LS1GTO.

vararam for ls1 works? I have the 05 06 hood, I heard you have to increase the hood gap quite a bit too

Ill let you know! I have the 05/06 hood aswell. It will be hear tomorrow. I believe the only thing you have to do is shorten your maf a bit. We will see! I think the biggest difference is the maf length, and the fact that the stock ls1 maf is 78mm. I have an 85 mm maf though. I will report back tomorrow with results
