Default Converting LS2 DriveByWire to DriveByCable

Hey everyone. I have a 2006 Pontiac GTO LS2 (Drive By Wire) and am converting it to a FAST 92 (Drive By Cable) throttle body since for my swap I don't have the DBW pedal ect and also prefer a cable. I am under the impression that the GTO LS2 is a 24 tooth crank reluctor wheel compared to the corvett. My questions are that since I'm not a 52 tooth can I just run a LS1 harness without changing anything on the engine, like the cam gear I was reading about or the reluctor wheel ect? Also what tooth were the LS1 reluctor and what PCM should I use with the LS1 harness for my LS2. I'm assuming it would be best to get one out of a 04 GTO with a LS1 or a F-Body? I already bought a new TPS with pigtail and found a IAC and pigtail out of a 86 Blazer that apparently works with the ls1 from a Camaro. Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Cory.

I'm pretty sure it is a 52 tooth reluctor wheel.

So being a 24 tooth I can use a harness and pcm for a ls1 on my ls2 with converting to drive by cable? All I would need is to get the pcm flashed?

Also has anyone ever tried converting the ls2 loom to drive by cable? I found this site for lt1 swaps for converting from (DBW) to (DBC), would this work with a ls2?

as far as i know, this isnt possible due to the body control mod running on the CanBus system. the ls1 computer would run the engine but not communicate with the bcm

So the only way is to go with a ls1 harness and pcm or go with a aftermarket setup like a Megasquirt or Link Extreme?

not sure man. id ask else where besides just here. like tuning and pcm related section. i just know an ls1 pcm with not work in the ls2 gto due to in using canbus style bcm. if you convert the entire car to an 2004 harness and bcm then it may work. or an aftermarket fuel injection kit like you mentioned may be easier

What is the reason for wanting to go with the drive by cable lover the drive by wire, just preference or other reasons? Just curious.

I prefer a drive by cable because of preferance and because I didn't have the gto pedal set up and I decided I wanted to go to a 92mm Fast TB. This LS2 isn't in a gto, its in a s13.4 zenki hatchback 240sx. Either way I'm spending money on wiring getting done. I can get a Link Extreme ecu and harness installed for 3g. Then I can support a twin turbo set up if I want, has a built in rev limiter, lots of added goodies. The way I'm looking at it is that I'm going to have to buy a ecu and harness anyways if the ls2 one won't work. If I decide to go with a stock harness I would have send it away or try and see if the guy who can install the link can do it. That is where I'm on the fence.

Ok makes more sense now...I ended up using lt1swap.com and my GTO pinouts and rewired mine as a standalone in my 04
