Default WTB: CAI and headers for 2005 GTO

I want to add headers with my existing cats.

Also, my car doesn't have mufflers but still has the resonator. Should I get a catback? What's the horsepower difference (if any) between deleted mufflers with resonator and a catback? Thanks.

so buy the headers you want and get catted mids for them. I favor corsa catback and catless Mids if you can do that.

Would I see a horsepower increase with the Corsa catback over the-no-mufflers-and-resonator setup?

well its hard to say what hp gains...air in air out. But no muffler and just resonator may not sound the greatest to some people. You could always just put your headers on with catted mids and run your current setup. In my opinion if u have the cash get headers with catless mids and find a cat back you want.

The car sounds good right now.

I may go with the Pacesetter long tubes. Is this all that I need?

Headers and a tune = HP. Catback is a waste of HP dollars. Mufflers, no mufflers, cats, no cats are not going to make any significant difference at your power levels. Some perceive they make a difference because noise tricks you into thinking it but go track it and you'll find out there's nothing there but a potential ticket

Yeah, I decided today on the drive home from work to not get a catback. The car sounds good as is.

What about a CAI? I'll go with the long tunes and catted mid. Are the Pacesetters any good? What's a decent, affordable catted mid? The Kooks is a bit expensive.

For inexpensive stainless headers get JBA or OBX and for either one get them coated

You might change your mind about that, headers completely changes the tone and volume of the exhaust. Muffler deletes with headers sounds like poo
