Default Engine Setup Question

Hey guys, Im fairly new to this cars and needed some help picking up a good combination.

I have been looking at the following:
Professional Products 85mm Typhoon Intake Manifold
Professional Products Throttle Body 85mm Satin

I also want a very small cam. Dont want to deal too much with idle issues at stop lights and Nitros (very small amount). I dont race this car often, is my DD but I do like to have to power to back me up in a race every now and then.

What do you all think?

Typhoon intake is cast aluminum and will heatsoak pretty easily costing you more HP than it gains unless you are running some type of boost. FAST is the better way to go. LS1's do like about a 100 shot of N2O, get a nice little wet kit and be safe.

LS1 Fast Intake is super good no doubt about that. I just cant drop that much money on an intake. Do I have any other options? What about this which I was looking at too:

That is aluminum also. You aren't going to gain enough to notice just going to an 85mm intake and throttle body. Don't forget that you will have to get a tune as well after you install a new intake and TB which will cost you more $$. The 04 GTO's came with an LS6 intake, the same motor basically as the 04 Z06 vettes, except for the heads and cam. Go with something proven-Cam, Valve Springs, small shot of N2O.

You can easily get a FAST for 650...especially the older 90 versions. That's only 150 bux more than that monstrosity.

Forget the Intake Manifold. Find some 243 heads and a cam of your liking and you will see an increase of minimum of 50rwhp and of course headers if you dont have them already.

Good luck with whichever combo you go with. I'm in (my car is, actually) North Fort Myers. Bunch of goats in the area.

Keep your intake, it is a good one. 243 heads and a cam in the 228-232 / .575 - .600 113/114 LSA range will be a good start.
