Default 06 m6 gto rear end clunk

Ok guys, i just bought a 06 m6 gto has 71k on it and everything runs great....except when the car seems to waarm up at low speeds like 1mph to 10 mph, the car starts to clunk and cling coming from the rear of.the car. Who would it only do it at lower speeds and not all the time..i thought and heatd about the abs , traction control system messing up so i disconnected the rear t/c sensors and it still does it. Help me out guys im in need of it please.

Welcome to GTO ownership! There is a lot of slop in the driveline. A one-piece drive shaft will help.

Pretty common, lot of things on these cars need upgraded. In your case, Id try a rear diff insert first and a diff fluid change. While you are under there inspect the DS carrier bearing, if its torn and a lot of slop, pick up a one piece form DSS or Gforce.

There are many reasons these cars clunk... you can see some diff builds and get more info on Gastiresoil.com

Diff fluid may help, but not likely. Clunking is typical with an M6. Not a big deal.
