Its time to change shocks/struts and springs and I am wondering what I should go with. Basically here for suggestions.

Looking for "race" suspension similar to the stock FE2. And something not too expensive.

What do you guys recommend??

Here's the first ABSOLUTE MUST DO mod if you haven't already:
Front radius rod bushing, aftermarket and adjustable preferably.

If you already have that then here's probably the top 2 choices you have and most people go for.

1. Lovells eliminator strut/spring combo.
you can opt for stock high or various choices of lowered height. Also very very strongly recommend you replace the associated bushings bearings and mounts involved with the install.
$990 regardless of spring rate or height chosen
2. BC Racing Coilovers
they have 2 options this first set is the entry level more "street" oriented but still fully capable of track days. They are adjustable in height and dampening. again same with the lovells, very strongly recommend you replace the associated bits.
$999
The second BC option is the more track focus series. it's gonna be a lot rougher but is also fully adjustable with more fine tuning.
These run $2200+

also an added bonus with BC is you get new bearings and new end links with the kit.

what id really like to get is some drag bags. wheel hop is annoying with these cars.

the pedders stuff is made by BC but for a whole lot less iirc.

other way around. peddlers is rebranded from BC as far as the coilovers go and some other stuff.
