Default ls3 swap in GTO? (help)

has anybody done this?

well yesterday my motor started knocking for what im going to waste on rebuilding this 6.0 I might as well get me an ls3 shortblock.

I was already doing the ls3 top end on it anyways so I already have some fully ported ls3 heads and also the ls3 intake along with injectors, etc...

from what I heard motor mounts and harness should plug right in?

do I have to worry about the reluctor wheel or anything like that??

any help is appreciated!! thanks!

Crank has to be pulled and Reluctor wheel has to be changed. Also DOD has to go (If the LS3 had it).

Good Choice!

LS3 is cool but since you were going with a ls3 top end swap your really only gaining . 065 of bore per cylinder over the ls2 block. I was gonna recommend a stroker kit and rock on

Having that 4.06 bore opens up a lot of doors for heads though. Not to mention the slightly revised ls3 block.
