This is a bubble top and you need to be old to remember... GOD, I'm dating myself. The conversion section will help you: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids-28/

I'm putting an LS in a 64 Impala SS at the moment. I haven't gotten to actually installing the motor since I am still disassembling the entire car for a frame-off, but I have read a few things that pertain to the X-frame:
- You will need either the F-body pan or the LH8 pan. Some say the LH8 pan hangs too low. Notching the frame with either pan may or may not happen, and it varies from car to car. I went with the LH8 pan because GM offers a full kit at $145 shipped versus the $300 for the F-Body pan. If it hangs too low, I'll fab a skid plate.
-Tanks, Inc makes a very nice EFI fuel tank for these cars. It is your most expensive option, but it is worth it to me to have the baffling, internal pump, and no worries about taking turns below a half-tank of gas.
-Some eBay S10 LS swap headers are a cheap solution for exhaust. BRP makes headers, but they are spendy. Hedman makes headers, as well, and they are less spendy. You can also use 5th gen manifolds, I believe, with a little trimming.
-If you go with power brakes, an 8" brake booster will hit the #7 coil. A dual diaphragm 7" is the suggested way to go.
You will need to cut the floor to fit the 4L60E. I'm mating a Muncie M21 to my engine, so I haven't concerned myself too much with that aspect of the swap.
